Welcome to Eclypso.com What does the word "eclypso" have to do with photography? Nothing. Nothing at all. All of the good photography words and phrases are already taken so I just picked a word I like. This site is primarily a place for me to showcase my photography.
After all, what good are photographs if no one ever sees them?
Back in the late 70s/early 80s I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area. I used to go to clubs and see bands. Sometimes I brought my camera. I did most of my shooting at The Keystone Berkeley as the lighting was excellent. I also did some shooting at other venues such as Berkeley Square, The Mab, The Stone, Le Disque, The I-Beam and Off Broadway. I'm not a flash photographer. I shot with a Pentax ME loaded with Tri-X pushed to 1600. I used a 135mm 3.5 lens. I developed my film in my kitchen sink (shake the can) and printed in the hall closet. Last year I scanned some of those negatives.
So many places, so little time. Over the past few years I have had an opportunity to travel quite a bit. I usually take my camera along and take more than a few photographs. I am way behind as far as putting them on-line. I'm working on it!!!! At the moment, you can enjoy some shots from Valparaiso, Chile, Santorini, Greece, St Petersburg, Russia, and Istanbul, Turkey.
Cool Sites is a page dedicated to other photographers who I like to refer to as “Friends & Idols.” Here you will find a few stories and links to other sites. These other sites belong to my “Friends & Idols.” You will also find a few links that are of interest to photographers and those who simply enjoy photography.
