In Search of the Magnificent...

The world is full of beauty. I try to photograph some of it. Whenever I return to an urban setting full of people, traffic, and development, it makes me sad. If you feel this way too and would like to help stop the madness please visit The Nature Conservatory or The WWF.

Icebergs

A few years ago I had an opportunity to go on an all day excursion to Tracy Arm Fjord with my friend Dan Vallance. It was the most awesome day of my life. I took hundreds of photos. At the time I was shooting with a Sony Mavica 350cd. It was back in the day when digital SLRs were very expensive and megapixels were few.

Mangrove Art

Mangroves are pretty cool. Birds love them. They have an important place in the scheme of things and they produce some pretty good visual art. I think they look pretty good in B&W. Mother nature is the artist! By the way, I took these photos in Anne Kolb Nature Center in Hollywood, Florida.

Florida's Springs

I discovered Florida's beautiful spings in National Georgraphic a few years back. I finally had a chance to visit two of them and hope to visit many more. Click here for a taste of Florida's natural springs at Ponce De Leon State Park in the Florida panhandle and Icketucknee Springs in Central Florida.

Flowers

Flowers have a habit of catching my eye. I just love to aim the camera at them and capture their beauty forever. This is a small collection of flowers from my backyard, a Caribbean Island or two, and Puerto Montt, Chile rendered in B&W.
